Summer is my favourite season, especially because it’s short where I live. It hasn’t fully arrived yet; besides it’s been raining for a few days, and there wasn’t a lot of opportunity for good photos.
As a side note, if you are wondering what’s happening to my blog, why my posts have become sporadic, and why I rarely visit other blogs or leave comments, it’s not because of lack of interest on my part. I am still passionate about blogging and writing, photography and books, and I still enjoy visiting my fellow bloggers, but it seems like my work is taking over my life. Although I don’t foresee any improvement in the near future, I don’t want to close the blog just yet and will be posting from time to time, when time permits, and if I have enough energy to be creative. Cheers! 🙂
I know how that is…I wish you luck!
Thanks so much for your comment! Btw, I just finished reading Neverwhere (mostly on my bus commute to work) and Neil Gaiman has entered my personal hall of fame as an inspirational model. I will surely read all of his books.
Beautiful… I love the way she radiates an energy of joy and playfulness… 🙂
Thank you for your comment! I am so glad you like the image. it took me a while to get it where it’s at. Although now I think she is more of a spring girl. 🙂
Love it! I have been enjoying the weather too and gardening. It does get busy and blogging can keep one very busy for sure. Have a great Sunday. Renee 🙂
Our weather has improved too. We are enjoying sunny days and those fruit trees that manage to grow in Alberta are in bloom. I hope I can take some good photos today when I walk my pups. Thank you so much for your comment!
I’m glad to hear that it’s only busy-ness that keeps you from blogging lately– missin’ ya! Post when you can…………….. & be well in the meantime:)
Thank you so much for your comment and wishing me well! I’ve been busy with work and stress management. When I get stressed, my inner space seems to contract and I feel cornered and peevish. So I’ve been working on claiming my space back. 🙂 I’ve got ways to go, but I think i am moving in the right direction. Need to meditate more and resume writing morning pages. Hope things are going well for you!
This is such a beautiful image, I really love it !
It’s a shame work is always preventing us from doing all these creative activities we love. I think we work too much and money has taken over our lives, it should be the other way around. But everything is so expensive, it feels like we don’t have much choice but to work a lot !
I hope you can find balance between your work and your personal life and still have your blog running !
Have a happy summer !
Yes, sometimes it feels like work is all I’ve got!. 🙂 But I am working on finding balance. I am trying to push back on the responsibilities that can wait or be done by someone else. I am learning to delegate, and take time off, like I am doing today. Need to catch up on my sleep, blog and creative writing. Thanks for your comment! Really appreciate it! And happy summer to you too!
I nominated you for a versatile and beautiful blogger award!

This is so sweet of you! Thank you so much! I am honoured. I may even have time this weekend to write a post about it or at least add it to my side bar to display the badges proudly. 🙂
Natalie, I love your drawing, especially the twinkle in the eyes and the wonderful definition of the young lady’s mouth. I can never get those two features quite right, so big time kudos to you on a job well done! 🙂
Please don’t close your blog out. It will wait for you, I’m sure. And I am sure every blogger here understands that we all need breaks and/or things come up that take priority over chit chatting and sharing. The light is always on for you, anytime you want to stop by. 😉 And if you don’t stop by, I will know you’re living life, doing other things. Be happy whatever you do. Marcy
Hello Marcy, thank you so much for your kind words! I will continue to stop by your blog for sure, maybe not as often as in the past, but once things have calmed down a bit, I hope I would be able to participate in the community and visit my favourite blogs more often, and maybe even take my blog to a whole new level. Have a great summer! 🙂
